Brian Head Resort was opened in the winter of 1964-1965. Ten years later, the Town of Brian Head was established in the area surrounding the Resort. The Resort grew from a one chairlift operation to a complete Resort offering skiing, snowboarding, tubing, night skiing, dining, mountain biking, and hiking. With dozens of activities, scenic beauty, and pristine mountain air, it’s easy to see why Brian Head Resort has become a destination for adventure and relaxation.


EVENT OVERVIEW:​​​​​

Mountain Archery Festival presented by Kryptek is being hosted by Prestigious Brian Head Ski Resort in beautiful SW Utah! When you come to the BEST Mountain Festival in the USA you will soon discover that it is a supportive environment full of great staff and likeminded shooters! Everyone there, regardless of age, gender, or ability are there because they love the outdoors, archery, and want to test themselves on the most unique courses you’ve encountered!!

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

150+ Kirsch Hunting 3D archery targets
Multiple Courses for different skill levels:
  • ​​Pope & Young Course– 20 Targets, 10-50 yd shots.
​            *   An educational course that will Duplicate some of the 29 P&Y North American Slam records.
            *  Intermediate course
  • Train To Hunt Competition Course - 20 Targets
            *  10-60 yd shots that are timed or physical challenges to get heart rate up.
            *  Intermediate course
  • Kirsch Course– 25 Targets
            *   3-75 yd shots on exotic targets from Asia, Australia & Europe
            *  Advanced course
  • Kryptek Course- 25 Targets
            *  15-100+ yds, on running targets, arial targets, extreme angles, long shots and other challenging shots. This course                    will challenge even the most experienced shooter.
            *  Advanced course
  • Mountain Madness Course 25 targets
             *  3-65 yd, Western Hunting style, no lift access required
             *  Advanced course
  • Kids Course- 15 target from 5-40yds.  
             *   This is a great beginners course and fun kids shoot.
  • Novelty Shots with the chance to win multiple prizes.

Vendor Village with the latest outdoor products and national,State & Local clubs.
Spectacular Venue, Fun for the whole family. Great food, Live Music, and Outdoor Film Fest!
This is the one archery event you do not want to miss.  All adult participants that pre-register online 30 days prior to the event will get 1 raffle ticket and an extra entry to win a Bow in a Krpytek Camo! (Target bows are not included. Bow manufacturers will vary). Please feel free to contact us anytime!

Mountain Madness Competition is an additional $50.

Prices for each event category will go up $10 for registration entry after May 15, 2019


EVENT RULES:

Have Fun!  This is a supportive environment full of great staff and likeminded shooters! Everyone there, regardless of age, gender, or ability are there because they love the outdoors, archery and have a great Widerness Attitude! Be helpful and Kind!

All paid participants are allowed on all courses, including TTH and Mountain Madness course EXCEPT during competion times.

Absolutely NO broadheads allowed. If a shooter is caught using broadheads, he/she will be removed from the course immediately without a refund.

Range finders and binoculars are allowed to be used on all courses. 

ABSOLUTELY NO Drugs or Alcohol on the courses.
If you have any physical limitations, please let us know at the registration table.
Paid Children can also have the opportunity to shoot targets with their parents on the Kirsch & Pope & Young courses. Children under 16 years of age MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian. 
 
We are on private grounds  and PUBLIC LANDS so please respect the property.

At no time are you allowed to leave the designated course boundaries. Mountain Archery Fest reserves the right to revoke and remove any individual from the course who does not comply with course rules.


Additional Info:
Bow cases should be left in car or hotel room.
Warm Up – For paid participants, the practice range will be available all day to warm up, dial in your bow or try out new gear
We want to emphasize BRING PLENTY OF WATER.
Snacks– it is going to be a long day, so make sure that you have enough nutrients in your pack so that you can stay strong
all day.
Weather is unpredictable, make sure you check the weather and are prepared.

  • Hat or Visor
  • Proper Clothing, i.e. rain gear
  • Comfortable shoes – there will be hiking

Make sure your bow is in working condition. There will be a “warm up” area and we’ll have local pro shops that can help you but you may want to pack an Allen wrench in your day pack.

PETS:
Dogs are allowed on site. Dogs must be kept on a leash AT ALL TIMES! ABSOLUTELY NO DOGS ALLOWED ON LIFTS, or on courses.
